Documents
Upload and manage files attached to vendors, contracts, and assessments.
Overview
VenTrack provides document management so you can attach supporting files to vendors, contracts, risk assessments, and other resources. All files are stored securely in Convex storage.
Uploading documents
Navigate to any resource's Documents tab and click Upload Document. You can upload:
- PDF files (contracts, certificates, policies)
- Images (logos, screenshots)
- Spreadsheets and presentations
- Any other file type
Document organization
Documents are attached to specific resources:

| Contracts | Signed agreements, amendments, invoices |
| Risk Assessments | Supporting evidence, audit reports |
| Purchase Orders | PO documents, receipts |
Viewing documents
Each resource's Documents tab shows all attached files with:
- File name and type
- Upload date
- File size
- Download link
File access
Documents inherit the access permissions of their parent resource. All users in the organization can view documents attached to resources they have access to.
Evaluation file uploads
Questionnaire questions can include a File Upload question type. Vendors and respondents can attach files directly as part of their evaluation response. These files are stored alongside the response for review.
