Create and manage risk assessments for your vendors to track and quantify third-party risk.
Overview
Risk assessments in VenTrack provide a structured way to evaluate and document the risk associated with each vendor. Assessments produce a numeric risk score that feeds into the vendor's overall risk profile.
Creating a risk assessment
- Navigate to a vendor's detail page
- The risk assessment section shows the current risk score
- Create a new assessment to evaluate or re-evaluate the vendor
Risk score
Each assessment produces an overall risk score from 0 to 100:
| Score Range | Risk Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 0–25 | Low | Minimal risk, standard monitoring |
| 26–50 | Medium | Moderate risk, enhanced monitoring recommended |
| 51–75 | High | Significant risk, active mitigation required |
| 76–100 | Critical | Severe risk, immediate action needed |
The risk score is displayed on the vendor's overview card and factors into dashboard reporting.
Assessment history
VenTrack maintains a history of all assessments for each vendor, allowing you to track how risk has changed over time. The most recent assessment determines the vendor's current risk score.
Dashboard integration
Risk scores appear across VenTrack:
- Vendor list — sortable by risk score
- Vendor detail page — overview card shows current score and level
- Dashboard — aggregate risk metrics across your vendor portfolio
- Reports — vendor performance and risk trend reports
